Sleepless night

Sleepless nights are here again. It’s happening more frequent recently. Although I managed to sleep a few hours earlier, I’m now wide awake unable to sleep again even though I’m sleepy. Sounds weird but this problem is bothering me quite allot recently. Will need to find a way to sleep well or else I’ll have to see the doctor.

The last trip was to Brunei, it wasn’t much fun to go there. It’s almost the same as in Malaysia but there is just no alcohol at all. Sounds like a boring place to me. Asides from visiting the shopping complexes, you can also visit the mosque and some museums. Since I'm not a mosque or museum person, I stayed in the hotel and rest – if I'm not working of course. Luckily I'm there for just a week. So I guess it just not that bad.

Back from Brunei on Friday and on Saturday, my colleague and I went to unwind and relax at a bar in Malacca. Pure bar. Yay! Was my first time there and since I'm also not a bar person, I was really glad that I finally made it into the bar. I know it wasn’t something to be proud of but hey it was my first time at least. Well it was a wonderful night, brought my gf along and we all had some nice fun time. Met also some old friends some whom I have not meet for 4 years. My course mate from my college time was also there. Dint get drunk but drank too much that I needed to cool at some ‘mama’ before I drive home.

Sunday was a nice day, had lunch and dinner with my gf. Haven’t had a nice lunch or dinner for a time with her liao. Been traveling non stop since the beginning of the year. Hopefully will find some time to rest and spend some time with her.

Small Update

Last week after the trip to Hamburg, I went straight to Roding. For those who don’t know, that’s where my HQ is. Was there to train a machine for 3 days only. It was good training, quite relaxing but kinda boring.

Nothing much happened in the weekend between Hamburg and Roding. Went to Czech republic, well was just at the border actually. Just to walk around some duty free shops and see if I can find anything nice. Sadly it was just a walk in the cold wind for me and few other colleagues.

After that we headed to Cham another town near Roding, there I bought myself a winter jacket and a cap. Well the jacket I had was apparently not thick enough to be winter resistant – that’s what my colleagues told me. Anyways the new jacket was awesome it really did its work as the winter jacket. Glad I bought one, felt much warmer when wearing it. Thanks guys.

Then on Thursday night (Germany time +2GMT) I was on my way back to Malaysia. By the time I reached Malaysia, it was already 10:30pm Friday night. And the jet lag was bad…

Now, barely 13 hours out of the airport, I’m back in KLIA. My destination today will be Brunei. Wonder what this trip will turn out to be…

Germany

Hamburg, Germany – this is where I am now. And its cold almost 0 degC but luckily its not too cold yet. I left my winter jacket at home and I just have a normal jacket with me now. Just my luck when I’m traveling to a winter country. Luckily a German colleague is with me and he is taking good care of me. He brought an extra jacket to keep me warm when I need it.

So far the customer has been helpful and the project is going on well. Hopefully we will be able to finish by end of the week so I will be able to go back to HQ for some other training.

We were able to take some time off at night to walk around Hamburg. As you can see from the pictures, it’s a beautiful place.

Roding, Germany – that’s where out HQ is and where other Malaysian colleague are. Luckily I get to stay in the service apartment and will be able to cook something. I don’t have to spend extra on food as cooking saves allot and is better suited to my appetite.

Persian Life

Persian Update

Today is the third day I’m in Shiraz, Iran (arrive on Thursday almost midnight). Nothing much happened; the machine problem was solved on Friday. Was suppose to make a test run on Saturday but only managed to make a dummy run due to the unavailability of raw material. So today, Sunday, hope the customer will be able to make a full test run (real production) to make sure that the machine is working well.

Hopefully Monday or Tuesday, I will be able to travel around the Persian country to see some of the attraction spots like

1. Persepolis (The Acheulian Period - 500 B.C.),
2. Tomb Of Cyrus II The Great (The Acheulian Period - 500 B.C.),
3. Tomb Of Saadi and Tomb Of Haffez (Both The Great Persian Poet).

For now, its back in the office sitting and waiting for the production… *yawn*. Good thing my good buddy Timmy is online. He’s now updating me with his well being and at least I have someone to talk to :D. three cheers to Timmy! Hip hip hooray~! Hip hip hooray~! Hip hip hooray~! Owe you one Tim ;)
